Finding Feria -- Part II

Making our way to Feria on Day 2, was easier. We learned the tricks of the trade yesterday. With a new subway system only 4 days old, we knew it would take forever to wait on a train so we took a cab. We knew the sooner we arrived the more fun we would have so we left earlier. And we knew how hot it would get, so we took our fans. We definitely looked the part today, minus Miguel's tie that I attempted to tie, but even that could do.

We get to Feria, find Nacho and we are headed to our first Casita. Just an FYI on Casitas. These are like mini-country clubs. You must have a membership to get in, and you are able to bring your friends. Each of the guys we were rolling with had a membership to a different Casita, so we had access to many. Each casita had a bouncer, and inside you would find food, drink, music and restrooms.

The first one we hit on this fine Thursday was one that Nacho had a card to. Nacho knows everyone, so this was no surprise. It had a very masculine feel, so Eline and I got a jar of Rubojito and found a table and let the guys be guys and the girls be girls.

She and I always find something new to talk about, and before we knew it the pitcher was gone, and Miguel and Nacho are herding us out the door and into another casita.

We were now getting into the groove of things after the late night the night before, and at the second house we are in no time friendly with the bartenders, and getting in photo taking mode. I am learning how to use my fan to attract Spanish admirers, and overall we are doing what we do best -- have too much fun!

At some point in the midst of our fan-fare and rubojito remix, Pepe and Saber enter the tent, and our mini-photoshoot is underway.

Rubojito... photos... friends...more rubojito... and the night is so young, and thank God I am too.
